The robust Metabo Marathon Motor featured in this model is coated in Epoxy resin powder including the coil windings, armature protection grid, sealed bearings and wiring terminals and encapsulated carbon brush modules which all help to make the motor completely impervious to harmful dust/debris, thus increasing the efficiency and service life of the machine. This is futher helped by the die cast aluminium gear housing which also increases the service life of the machine.
